outside reading: 4th quarter the lake of souls

Cirque Du Freak: The Lake of Souls

The intended audience is young teens to adults because there are some pretty gruesome parts. The word choice is really easy to understand so young teens should have no problem reading this. This book is very entertaining for everyone with a good imagination, like me. If you get easily scared or blood freaks you out then this book would freak you out!
The central issue is that Harkat is having unbearable nightmares and the only way to fix it is to listen to Mr. Tiny’s instruction and walk into an unknown portal. The portal bring them into a strange place filled with weird creatures. First, they need to kill a black panther and grab a map out of its stomach. Then, they have to steal gelatinous globes from the world’s biggest toad. Next, they need to steal vials of “holy liquid” from the Kulashkas. Finally, they kill a dragon at the lake of souls and Harkat Mulds figures out that he shares the same soul as Kurda Smahlt!
I’d like to know what it would feel like to me Mr. Tiny. He knows what will happen at any moment of time. It would be weird to not have any surprises in life and he lives forever! He is super evil and feels no pain. He can also mix around people’s souls and bodies, which is a weird thing to think about!
I realized that Harkat Mulds was an anagram to Kurda Smahlt right when they killed the black panther. It was obvious that Harkat was hiding his identity, even if Harkat could never talk from the start. The two names sounded alike from the beginning. It really mixes me up knowing that the two of them share one soul.

concrete poem

riddle poem

I’m about to come out the box
3 cords bringing me to life
The box is hard to open
You may need a knife

I am made by Microsoft
Played by many people
A bunch of nerds in their loft
Even a priest in his steeple

When I’m played people get kinda crazy
People always yelling
They’re still so lazy
Number 1 at the store, always selling

When people turn me off
Its always so tough
Always making me sad
They never play me enough
